Homages Flow for Rob and Michele Reiner as Medical Examiner's Findings Remain Under Wraps.

Over a fortnight subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of celebrated film director Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, friends and colleagues persist in remembering the pair.

A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Posting on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's beloved 1987 film *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he finally felt ready to express about his deep grief.

"Adequate time has passed that I can now put my grief into words," shared Elwes, adding that his first meeting with Reiner created an instant bond. "When we commenced spending more time together I realized this was someone I longed to have in my life."

The actor shared behind-the-scenes footage from the film, commenting that he doesn't recollect "a single day without laughter".

"The film is about affection, allegiance and giving. Things that Rob cherished deeply. This is one of the many reasons he was the best person to direct it," Elwes wrote.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, stating: "Asserting that they were a formidable pair would be an understatement. My heart still aches every time I remember you." He ended with a quote from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Colleague and Comrade

In a separate tribute, revered director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved spending time with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was very funny and sometimes acutely humorous, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese said.

Scorsese mentioned Reiner's supporting role in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, portraying the father of the lead role.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked wonderfully with his co-stars, and he comprehended the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese added.

Legal Developments: Autopsy Reports Sealed

This week, a Los Angeles superior court judge agreed to bar the disclosure of the Reiners' autopsy reports, following a petition from the local authorities.

A court order put a embargo on the files to limit the public release of "any investigative information, evidence and photographs" pertaining to the probe.

The coroner's office had previously confirmed their deaths were the result of homicide, with a public database noting the cause as "injuries from a sharp object".

Response and Criticism

After the deaths, public figures shared varying responses.

Former President Donald Trump commented on the matter, offering provocative claims that were widely condemned by several individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan added his criticism to the those speaking out recently. Talking on his podcast, Rogan described the statements as "disturbing" and implied they demonstrated a worrisome deficiency of sympathy.

Rogan concluded by proposing that an associate could have acted when the choice to speak on the passing was made.
